As we have previously advised ZIM Lines has recommenced services from China to Australia.
They are 5 voyages old into Australia and their Australian agent, Inchcape Shipping Services, is having significant issues processing shipments on arrival.
Over the most recent voyages Inchcape has been unable to issue Invoices and without payment of invoices they cannot release Electronic Delivery Orders as well as being unable to provide alternative solutions (i.e. issue PIN numbers to allow access to containers in the terminal).
This is resulting in delays to release of containers from the terminals. Unfortunately, that may impact on time slots secured and on storage within the terminal as well as effecting delivery schedules.
Inchcape has indicated that they have replaced servers to resolve this issue and expect to see the problems to ease in the coming days. This is an issue effecting all of ZIM clients.
We are working to get outcomes and our transport teams and import teams will keep you updated.
