As advised in our news alert on 29 September (CMA CGM Hit by Cyber Attack) CMA-CGM and its subsidiaries, including ANL, APL/NOL, US Lines and CNC were the victim of a Cyber-attack. They have been gradually restoring their network since it was reported on 29 September.
In their latest advisory (CMA-CGM Customer Advisory-Global Update-OCT 08 2020.pdf) the carrier is indicating that their operations are not being impacted however that unfortunately is not the case. We are experiencing delays caused by:
- Inability processing dangerous goods (DG) shipments
- Delay in releasing of containers due to EDI delays with empty depots
- Vessel loading issues in China that is resulting in ANL over stowing vessel at ports and preventing loads at subsequent ports of loading. This has occurred on the last two A3S sailings to Australia
- Delayed release of EDO
- Delayed release of destination charge invoices
The above is impacting on transit times and loadings. Our scheduled reports and customer service team will keep you updated as soon as we receive information.
