This article was published late Friday afternoon in the Daily Commercial News in relationship to DP World negotiations with MUA and includes comments from Andrew Adam, DPWA Chief Operating Officer, and Paddy Crumlin, MUA National Secretary (The DCN - “Breakthrough” In DPWA/MUA Negotiations).
It is stating that both parties have reached agreement that should see their terminals return to normal operations. That will leave Patrick's and Hutchinson’s still to move forward. We have no updates on those negotiations but hopefully the DP World agreement will be the impetus for the other terminals to reach agreement with the MUA.
Action at Patrick Terminal is widespread as per this update (Patrick Terminasls Update 250920) from Friday and it continues to create delays to vessels around the country in particular Sydney.
Subsequent to Friday’s update the following industrial action will take place at Patrick’s Sydney terminal later tonight. Road Operations will cease on Monday 28 September 20:20 last zone 20:00 and return to normal operations Tuesday 29 September 0600 zone.
We will keep you updated as updates come to hand.
