Increased Industrial Action at Patricks Terminals Nationwide

Patrick Terminals has informed us of increased Protected Industrial Action that will now further extend to other terminals around Australia.  They have also sent us the following media release Media Release - Patrick Call For Calm.

As previously reported the action is causing major congestion in Sydney ports and may expand to other locations.

A summary of the action is below.  It will disrupt vessel operations and possible access to containers for imports and delivery into Patrick Terminals for exports.

Our transport and logistics teams and export teams will provide specific updates on access to the terminal for deliveries in and out of the terminal.  Our vessel delay notification’s  will pick up any impact on delays to vessels.

Extended action

Melbourne

    • 24-hour stoppage of work commencing 06.00am Friday 18 September 2020.
    • 1- hour stoppages at 6.00am, 2.00pm and 10.00pm every day for 14 consecutive days commencing on Monday 21 September 2020.

Fremantle

    • Ban on the performance of work on the Margaret River Bridge for 32 hours, from 11:00pm Thursday 17 September 2020 to 07:00am Saturday 19 September 2020
    • A ban on attending for work on days an employee is called into work after being placed on the standby list from 07:00am 17 September 2020 for an indefinite period
    • A ban on attending for work on days an employee is called into work when not allocated from 07:00am 17 September 2020 for an indefinite period
